I was browsing at a retailer near my home today, and I found this absolutely adorable short-sleeved summer dress on the sale rack. Even though the fit wasn’t perfect, for the price, I couldn’t resist picking it up.
There’s something a bit Asian-inspired about it, without it being over the top. And it’s a really versatile work-to-evening dress. And I like that it’s got sleeves, which makes it a good option on days when I don’t feel like going sleeveless, or having to add a cardigan or jacket.
Heck, with this fabric, I can even pack it with me on vacation.
I sized down, so that it would be a bit less shapeless. It fits a little weird around the bust, with the armholes a bit low so it pulls a bit. But overall, it’s not too bad for a non-petite item. (Incidentally I think it looks better on me than it does on the model.) It just goes to show that sometimes it’s worth browsing the regular sizes for an occasional find.
